Florensis now also deliver perennials in a larger plugsize, the SC84. Cost effective? These multi-seeded young plants have more space in the plug to establish and when planted are quicker to finish. At a time of year when input costs are at their highest, this represents an attractive option for growers. Easier? Well, larger plugs are certainly more reliable. Because the material is well developed and hardened, the risk for failure is considerable smaller. Time saving? As only one plug will be placed in the pot instead of a greater number of smaller plugs, consequently transplanting costs are reduced (for example, a potting machine can be utilised). So, the overall result is very positive and cost effective. Perennials in the SC84 are available in week 48, 5, 7, 10, 14, 16, 18 and 20. The assortment contains amongst others Arenaria, Centaureau, Coreopsis, Delphinium, Digitalis, Erysimum, Gaillardia, Heuchera, Lavandula, Leucanthemum, Lobelia, Lupinus, Papaver, Salvia, Saponaria and Silene. The full list of varieties are shown on the order form, leaflets and the website. | |
