News about the new Florensis tray

Early in 2006 Florensis introduced a new hard plastic tray, immediately noticeable for its lilac-blue colour. It is currently available in 5 distinct sizes; 84, 128, 180, 288 and 510. The trays are loose filled, which makes the plugs easy to take out, although for every type push-up-plates are available to make this work even easier.

In the Florensis’ nurseries large changes were required to be able to utilise this tray to its optimum benefit. Watering lines, filling lines, sowing machines, but also gapping up and delivery lines have been either revised or completely renewed. We are pleased to say that the results have been there to see, with plant quality improved even further across the whole range.

A unique number per tray printed on the in mould label makes the tray traceable both within and outside the nursery. The shape and looks of the tray have ergonomically and technically (robot) been adjusted to meet the highest standards demanded by all users (i.e. both within our nursery and with the end user).

By using high quality components and production techniques we managed to develop a strong but also lightweight tray which, unlike similar trays types from the competition, will also last a long time.
